Bob finished chemotherapy!!! and has 5 more days of radiation.
There’s so much damage and severe pain in his mouth, tongue and throat
that he has a fentanyl patch for long lasting relief and 10 mg of oxycodone
every 6 hours for breakthrough pain. This allows him to sip water and other liquids.
Even given that, his spirits are good…that’s my Bob!!!
His caregiver (aka me) is doing what she can to give care as needed to her true love.
My focus is singular and that’s sometimes off putting to my psyche.
Such much change so fast and yet so slow.
Together, we know we will get through this and then work through the recovery to our new normal selves.
